Acuvue 2 contact lenses are two-weekly lenses by Johnson & Johnson. These bi-weekly lenses are easy to use and extremely comfortable, making them an excellent choice for first-time wearers. Acuvue 2 is not a discontinued product. However, it was once available as a coloured lens, this was discontinued in 2013.
You can wear Acuvue 2 for a maximum of 2 weeks at a time as long as they are removed, cleaned and stored in contact lens solution overnight.
Acuvue Oasys is made from silicone hydrogel and has a 38% water content, whereas Acuvue 2 is made from a polymer called Etafilcon A. It has a makeup of 42% water and 58% material. They are both two weekly lenses.
You can sleep in Acuvue 2 lenses for up to 6 nights, if approved by your optician for continuous wear.
